Where did ShoeShoe come from?
“I don’t like it when the floor in my classroom is not clean because kids track in dirt with their shoes. That’s why I want everyone to use ShoeShoes.”
ShoeShoe was started by a mother-and-son team who want simple solutions for everyday shoe problems.
They developed the concept in 2020 to help students and teachers thrive inside healthy classrooms. But they’re not limited to learning-families also find ShoeShoes helpful in keeping homes and cars clean.
We started at Home
Yannick first came up with a sample of what he would like ShoeShoes to look like.
Once the design was finalized, Amabel worked on creating the patterns for the ShoeShoes.
Yannick also selected the packaging, deciding on a eco-friendly reusable plastic casing.
Yannick and Amabel wear their ShoeShoes all the time at home.
Yannick was even invited to the BVSD Board of Education to give a presentation.
Now, ShoeShoes are used by Families, Schools and Daycares across the U.S. to help them keep their indoors clean and germ-free.

Meet the Founders
I am Amabel, Yannick’s mom and co-founder of ShoeShoe. This journey started as a project to keep Yannick occupied at the onset of the pandemic … but it took on a life of its own and here we are.
Other than being a parent and ShoeShoe CEO, I am a travel-lover, world citizen, and adventurer. I’ve lived in a number of places including: Austria, Ghana, Poland, and the US (San Francisco, Miami, and currently Boulder, Colorado). Professionaly, I’ve worked as a management consultant and in various public sector leadership roles focused on economic and workforce development.
I love exploring new places and cultures (some of which take their shoes off inside while others don’t) and I love adventures … like starting ShoeShoe.

I am Yannick, ShoeShoe inventor and co-founder. I came up with ShoeShoe when I was in 2nd grade, because I didn’t like sitting on the classroom floor where we were all walking around with our street shoes.
Apart from being a student and an enterpreneur (I am Emperor of Marketing and Social Media at ShoeShoe), I love playing tennis and soccer. I take it very seriously and compete in both sports. In school, I like Math and Social Studides and ELA (except for reading).
I worry about climate change and want to do my part to stop global warming, which is why we made sure ShoeShoes are reusable.
